I'm avoiding thesis by making a mix of music that have been keeping me sane. Heh. Beware...it's a bad bad mix. BUT I want to share my insanity in musical choice.

Don't you hate it when songs are stuck in your head? All day today I have had the same line of the same song stuck in my head. Oh yes, see if you can stand it "I'd chime in with 'haven't you people ever heard of, closing the god damned door'". Yup, that's it.

Once again, Renn Fayre completely blew my mind. I love it, every year.
So many positives, I can't even begin to try to explain. Thesis Parade was fantastic (which is a complete understatement). I think that Fridays are by far my favorite days. Everyone is in the same place, the same wonderfully drunken state and the entire campus is just one cohesive ball of happiness and excitement.
And yes, I did make out with way more people than I would have even imagined possible. I also drunkenly asked a professor if she would "hate" it if I thesised with her. I am so amazing.
One thing that makes Renn Fayre sad for me is making new friends and then having them disappear after the weekend (silly guests).
If you want to see some picture highlights, just tell me and I will pick the best for everyone to see.
...now, I have to find some way to motivate myself to work on my 5 finals. Stupid finals. |

To whoever was nice enough to key my car,
I would like to thank you for your maturity and the increase in the ever-growing (and heavens, I really don't like feeling this way)dislike I'm starting to have for certain aspects of the reed community.
I would like to thank you for making me feel safe and at home with my decisions and my opinions about the world.
I would also like to thank you for the fact that lately I've been feeling like this is not the school I belong at.

Soooo, I avoided doing work...well I did work BUT I also discovered how awesome openCanvas can be. (even if it is a trial version).

Heh. I also had dinner with my step sister...who I haven't really seen in over 5 years. I finished my RDDA exam, got my eyebrows waxed, have an appointment for a massage on friday....OH and it's snowing. So overall, I'd say this was a relatively pleasant day.
Not to mention I don't have to get up till 12 tomorrow instead of 8. *laughs* I think I like this week. |

My brother is the most amazingiest man ever.
I must say he really won the night when he called me from Sundance. I was really excited. We had a great drunken conversation about his Sundance hijinx...really, the stories are incredible and should be known by one and all (but I'll leave that for Ben to tell). One of my favorite quotes from the night was:
Ben: I smelled Paris Hilton.
Me: You smelled Paris Hilton!??!
Ben: Well *giggle* She smelled rich...
HA! So cool. I absolutely adore him. There's something very reassuring and uplifting to know that I have the type of relationship with my brother that we feel absolutely comfortable drunk dialing each other. I can honestly say that it is one of the best feelings in the world.

I SAW A BEAVER! A real life one. Just hanging out by the chinese house, eating grass...doing it's thing. SO excited for some reason. I've never seen a beaver that hasn't been in the t.v. or at a zoo before.

Wow...back in portland and it's fabulous!
(not sure if that covers it...but I've never been one for lots of words. So brevity is the key, no?)
Anyway, Brook is here next door making the apartment very livable. HA! We're supposedly feng shuing the upstairs tomorrow (before we paint it pretty colors)
The past couple of days have been filled with errands. But tomorrow I have a mask class with Robin (I demand deliciousness in the form of arts and crafts, dammit!)
Not sure what to expect this semester. But it will probably be less lonely than last semester. (hopefully) I want to get to know more people. I want to be more outgoing. I want to be active and healthy. I want to find someone cuddle with.
Heee. Anyway, if any of you want to throw in some opinion on paint colors, our kitchen table is scattered with color samples. (we hijacked home depot Sunday!)
Or, if you know, you like the idea of a paint the living room party...*winks*
